My Story from the Heart
When my husband died it felt like a big part of me died, too. I lost the love of my life and the dreams we had shared for our future. But that bitter unhappiness was the beginning of my new life ahead. After his passing, I wanted to use the gifts I had been given to help my âwidowed sistersâ and their advisors.
This quest became my personal calling, my new purpose to assist other women after the death of their spouse. It began with writing a guidebook for widows. Today it continues as I encourage advisors to work effectively with widows . . . helping these women feel financially secure as they move forward on their own, but not alone.

"Please continue to send me any of your thoughts or ideas. Your book really helped my sister. It has been a year and a half now, and just like you said, it has taken her until about 4 months ago to gain the courage and strength to take charge of her finances. My brother lives close to her and watched over her carefully. It's amazing how taking charge of her finances made her a much more self-assured and happy person."

"I just left you a voice message. I attended your workshop at Advisor Group's ConnectEd in Las Vegas and LOVED it! You inspired me so we?ve scheduled our first luncheon workshop for our widows. My wife is ordering 25 of your books. We will give them to our clients and their guests."
Thank you!"

I would like for it to be a part of every SOS office's library. You have been an inspiration to so many of us financial counselors and I cannot thank you enough for your work. Thank You!"
